Re: Lens Replacement Lewmar "Superhatch"

I sent my two Lewmar Superhatches out to Select Plastics in CT.

Before:

After: from the inside

They look new, and I know that they are done correctly... and, it only cost ~$850 for my two hatches...

I would have tried your method if I could have sourced replacement lenses.

Select also retrofitted the new-style dogs into the lenses:

Re: Lens Replacement Lewmar "Superhatch"

Any local plastic house should be able to provide various colors (bronze, smoke etc) of the same acrylic Lewmar used, and can easily cut and drill it to the old pattern. Total cost was $85 each hatch from Select Plastics in Santa Monica, CA.

They won't want to take the hatches apart--which is easy.
