New Mariner 28 Owner

I wanted to drop in and say hi to the Mariner owners out there. I just picked up an old Mariner 28 and aside from a few dozen questions that I am figuring out the answers to, love the boat.

I have had Columbia's for the past 20 years with sailing mostly in the area around Baltimore and Annapolis... and no, my picture is not the Mariner..LOL

Welcome new owner.
We purchased a 1978 Mariner 28 last March and sailed her on Lake Michigan. We had enough time to "do what was needed" to launch by May 2010. Now, I'm in the process of doing some more needed update/upgrades.

Fire away with your questions.

I used to own a Mariner 28, they're great boats if you got one that's been taken care of. Solid and fun to sail.

I agree:

Launch 2010

New ProFurl installation

2010 Haul Out

And lest you think that I put her in, and then just took her out....

I'm also a proud owner of a Mariner 28. Great boat. We sailed ours from NYC to Cape Breton, NS last summer and it was amazing in the ocean. Trusted it completely on the run from Cape Cod to Halifax.

Enjoy the boat.

Re: New Mariner 28 Owner

I can see that this is an older post. But I too just purchased a Mariner 28 about a month ago. Appears to be a very solid boat. Have taken it out a couple of times now. Stable and roomy compared to the 22' I used to have.

Welcome!
Check Out the Mariner Yacht Owners Group

Mariner Yachts Owners Group.

I posted the 1979 M 28 Sales Brochure on the Mariner Yachts page on Face Book. What hull number are you. We are trying to figure out haw many were built.
