    Topside looks fantastic. Everyone but you in my thread said to avoid painting blue. You mentioned errors you don't regret... I'd love to hear some more details before I completely abandon my plan to paint topside this season

    All else equal, you will see errors more in dark paint than in light paint. I had a few small drips, some orange peel from too dry roller, and a few bugs swimming in the paint. However, from a few steps away, it is still shiny. I had a crash landing at the dock that put a few scrapes in the paint that show the white. They could be re-touched (can't sand it, just dab paint on). I don't have concerns about the heat problem with dark paints, b/c we live so far north. If I was in Florida, I wouldn't paint my boat a dark color.
