Hi
We sail barnegat bay. Delaware would be an hour closer for us as we are in Allentown Pa. What can you tell me about sailing your area of the delaware?
Thanks,
Eric
Hi!
My wife and I just bought a Hans Christian 33t and plan to move on board, reduce our expenses and live life instead of working life. We own a house and plan on selling at this point, once the upgrades to Sundown are finished. We have figured the liability of a house will eventually cause us to sell the boat to fix the house to make it sellable or cause us to sell the boat to move back into a house we cannot afford in retirement.
My only suggestion is to buy a boat that will not depreciate so that you can recoup your investment. We bought our Hans at 45k and with proper maintenance and upgrades done by ourselves we expect to sell for at least a profit of 40k...if we sell her.
As I have read time and time again and am now living....DON'T WAIT!!!!!!! Live life....
Look for us at sundownsailing.wordpress.com (we kept the old name..the past owners were big Gordan Lightfoot fans....works for us!)
