questions within reason, yes. it's a really rugged engine but expensive to rebuild if you let it go too long.

    Ken:
I am restoring a 1986 45' Herreshoff Cat Ketch that has a nanni 4.180 engine in it - which is a marinized Mercedes OM636. The boat is still on the hard while I work on it. I am in the process of going over the engine and getting it prepped to try to start it and see if & how it runs. From some of your posts I see that you have had some experience with these engines. Can I seek your advice if need be during my efforts to get the engine running? I'm located in SE MA and the boat is located there also - so we are pretty close together geographically.

    My email is wscudder@ieee.org
