I replaced the wire / rope halyards on my boat a couple of years ago with StaSet and have no regrets. I did have to change the sheaves at the masthead but that was easy and inexpensive.

Nielsen, For the life of me I can't think of a single reason to have wire halyards anymore on a boat. In fact I can barely think of a reason to have wire (other than electrical) on a boat anymore...

Replacing mine on my Cal 28 ... I did alot of research before I did ... went all rope ... and it was less expensive ... be aware you might need to change your masttop sheaves and as I like to...

A Canadian refit, right down to the screws. Another upside to Robertson screws- less stress on the timber when clocking the screws, because you only need to work in 1/4 turn increments....
