Re: Mirage 29, a make over.

Estimated lengths according to hunterowners.com and their rope builder fyi. Also thanks to sailjunkie the mast hight is 36'6" on a Mirage 29. Still working on the main sheet.

Re: Mirage 29, a make over.

So i took the cushions home to clean. In the process I had a little fun to get an ides of how big the boat is to scale with something im familiar with....like my living room.

Looks nice, if I didn't have furniture already that might be an interior design idea for me

Re: Mirage 29, a make over.

I couldn't sleep in a boat that was on stilts like that.. I would be too nervous

I am not sure if taking over the living room with boat cushions is a way to endear the sailing life to your wife,,,,,

Lol, she was the one who insisted i bring them home. And she was the one carpet cleaning them too.

I get so nervous with it up in the air! I am seriously waiting for it to fall. Cannot wait till its in the water for that reason alone.

That is great, you will notice I am not volunteering to carpet clean for you... but then I am more willing to sit on cushions that are a little dirty (I'm sitting right now on a chair I got from the dump...

I know people do it all the time, and you don't hear about or see pictures of boats falling over.. more a phobia of mine. I got a new bed frame three years ago and when I got a new mattress and box springs I had to take the box springs out.. it seemed to high... not the same thing... but maybe
