New to Morgan 27

Hi,
I'm a new owner of an old (73) Morgan 27 -- now named MACCABEE. I spotted another M27 in Long Island Sound/Eastchester Bay today.
Would love to learn more about my boat from any of you out there.

Smile recently got a 73 Morgan 27 as well...

If you are able to find any site or anyone with a good knowledge or info on these boats, I'd really appreciate it if ya'd let me know...Brought mine from Lake Norman down to Lake Hartwell in SC, gettin that mast stepped can be a PAIN....lol but well worth it. Sadly she'd never been named, so soon she'll be christened the 'Issaqueena', from local folklore regarding a Cherokee princess.

There is a Morgan owners group on yahoo, I have a Morgan 24, used to have a Morgan 25 in the 80's, but each additional foot in a sailboat is a big difference. Of Course Charles Morgan when he owned the company built a quality sailboat. I remember when I was younger hearing about Venture sailboats - that you could push on the hull and it would move in and out! Some boats had sterns built like a power boat and were very slow, others had little in the way of ballast, check the spec on Morgans against other sailboats and you will be pleased with your Morgan. I know the Morgan 24/25's have won many races over the years.
