Morgan 462 refrigeration system

Ahoy, I have a 1981 Morgan 462 project boat. Her compressor was cut out and I would like to have a cold beer and keep my bacon fresh. The compressor was not on the boat when we bought it ao I don't know the brand that it cam with. It has what appears two cold plates on the starboard and port side of the furthest starboard cold boxes. Nothing in the mid-ship cold box adjacent to the "freezer". There are no apparent markings on the plates. coming out of the plate furthest starboard are two poorly cut copper tubes.

My question, can I buy a new compressor and use this existing cold plate setup or a I going to have to remove them and install a completely new system. If I can use what I have what do I need to get and do to make it happen. If I have to replace it what system should I go with. It will be cooling about 6 cubic foot.

Bill, even if you know how to marry old to new it would cost as much if not more as new to do so. Pictures of the box and plates would help! Many of the new uints can do 6 sq ft
