Hey - any of you other Morgan 35 owners out there got any pictures you can post on the web? I would like to see some - (a picture is worth 1000 words) and maybe get some more ideas for mine. I have posted some pics of my boat when I first got it on my website as warrendrake dot com - will be posting some updated ones soon. But would also like to see some from everybody else's boat too!

Photos

I have a Morgan 35, Hull number 116. What do you want a photo(s) of and where do you want it posted? I am interested in photos of Morgan 35 chain plates and interiors, specifically the paint on the inside. Gotta cover that wood grain veneer.

Morgan 40-ft ketch

Would like to hear thoughts on the 40' Morgan Ketch, Ray Disney's ordered it in 1970 - named the Impossible Dream. Plans are being made for an extended cruise this year. Any comments on this boat?

has a fair bit on the 35. I have hull a 1972 #173 i believe, located on the west coast of Florida. she was pretty rough when I purchased her, and I am in the process of bringing her back.....
I have pics of course, and until someone puts up a site, it may be worth just putting them on yahoo, as they already have some of the manual, layout etc...

I'm here in Cocoa, Florida with a M22. No idea what hull number it is as the inside has been sprayed with paint, obliterating any sign of a hull number. I believe it is a 1968-9.

This is a solid boat, full keel, and shoal draft. It sails well, but it is not a racer - it is a comfortable cruiser. We have a Morgan 40 Ketch (vintge 1971), and plan to do the ICW and Bahamas.

What type extensive sailing are you planning?

Did you purchase Roy Disney's boat? I was just at the Morgan Invasion in Saint Petersburg and Charley was wondering where Roy's boat was now. Is it still on the West Coast? How did you find out that it was named Impossible Dream?

Morgan 40-ft ketch

The Morgan 40-ft ketch is a great cruising sailboat. If you have ever seen a Hinkley Bermuda 40 on the hard, you will see the same type full keel, shoal draft design. There were different interior designs. There was the Tri-cabin which was designed for charter (before Charley Morgan built the Out Island). There was also a more traditional design which had an aft galley. We have a aft galley design Morgan 40 (Vintage 1971).

You mentioned Roy Disney. Did you purchase his boat? We were at the Morgan Invasion this year at St. Petersberg, FL and Charley Morgan mentioned that he had shipped a Morgan 40 for Roy Disney to Driscoll's Boat Yard in San Diego CA. He and we were wondering where the boat is now. How did you find out about the boat and the original name?

Red face Our Morgan 28

We just purchased a 1969 Morgan 28 with an Atomic 4 inboard. I've read a lot and seen a lot of the O/I's but I guess you would call ours a standard. She sits well in the water but the wiring is a complete mess. Rewiring will take some time but it gives me a chance to learn about her. New paint this winter when we pull her. The swing keel is stuck - or at least the cable to it it frayed and broken. She has a wheel which is unique.
