Morgan with no center board
Does anyone have experience with Morgan's that have had the centerboard removed and the hull has been redone done there?
35' 1975 I believe... I don't know anything about how this boat is ballisted or how changing out the centerboard and making it a regular bottom would affect performace. - Edward |
Charlie Morgan's comments
on this question can be found on his reply to the same question on 2 Feb 07 on the forum: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/morganowners/ You can read it yourself but he indicates the M35 will sail just fine with out the board. http://members.cox.net/morgan24site

I think the boards were more for racing & sailing closer to the wind.

M-35 Centerboard
My M-35's centerboard thumps at anchor and I am considering removing it. Charlie Morgan stated (on the Feb 2, 2007 post) the centerboard is not needed and to fill it with lead. Does anybody know how this is to be done?
