Mailing list vs forums format

Well, three times into it I was not able to post the places to go because the sailnet forums won't let me include them. So, drop me a line if you'd like to see them. I'll have to put "deleted by sailnet" in the places I'm trying to send you, but do a search for morganowners, and flying pig log(s) to find them if you're interested. Here's what I tried to say (deleteds excepted) three times ago:

For those, like me, who detest web interfaces because they require always-on connections, and, noting the very light traffic here vs the prior sailnet listserve for Morgans, you may be interested to know that there is an active mailing list at morganowners (deleted by sailnet reference to yahoogroups), (please excuse the text vs link; sailnet prohibits links from me as I've not been active on the forums, despite my thousands of posts in the prior listserve, including the one which was at the top of the text on their T-shirts they sold back before the first bankruptcy) with all the similarities of the prior sailnet listserver.

That is, you can download all the messages which have come in since your last internet connection, then do any reading and replying you like offline, with the responses in your "outbox" going up the next time you connect.

For full-time cruisers, this is the only viable means of participation, and, just as a personal quirk, because of that, I detest any and all web interfaces, particularly since I have to log into each and every forum I wish to participate in, versus having everything downloaded into my computer for me to peruse at my leisure, as well as to reply or post.

If you're hungering for a knowledgeable community, you could browse the group at yahoogroups dot com before joining, and, if, as some do, much prefer web interface over mailling(s), can also participate in the same fashion there as you do here - but there's a great deal more traffic...
