Cool Need info on replacing tank

We currently own a 1986 Newport 33 tri-cabin model. Have just removed the tank which over time has warped due to venting issues. Looking now to replace with an aluminum tank. Anyone who has replaced tank and has any information as to suppliers/manufacturers would be greatly appreciated.:)

My 82 Newport 33 has a metal tank under aft quarter berth. I the three years I've own the boat I haven't had a problem with it.

Usually what you are describing is caused by a blocked air vent line. this can happen when the VENT line has sags in it that can hold fuel in place effectively blocking the line. Wasp nests also can clog the air outlet producinng the same effect. Suggest you insure a completely straight, clear and slightly DOWNHILL run from vent to tank before looking for more exotic causes!

Newport 33 Pilot House (is this a Gulf?)

I have a friend that's contemplating buying a 1992 Newport 33 pilot house. He asked me what I knoew about these boats as I own a Newport 30. I don't know anything about the 33's. I'm just wondering if you could help witha bit of information or point me to a site that could give me some infomation.
Thanks,
Doug
