Bought Newport 30 in October. Head never right. Think I have a blocked air intake. Head doesn't pumpout at pumpout station. Suction in tank. Tried to get water into head, sea **** open, water doesn't pump in. Replaced broken cam. Ready to hire it done by a professional. Seeking recommendations. Too many problems to solve in too short of sailing season!

When I bought my current boat about five years ago, the holding tank vent was blocked. Couldn't pump out like you describe. Paper wasps had nested in the vent line. I ended up taking off the vent line, and used compressed air from a portable tank to blow it out. After that it worked fine, I did install a screen at the vent on the hull to prevent it from happening again.
