Operating Tempature

Any one know the average running temp for a 1 GM 10 YANMAR raw water cooled engine my {new Sender just installed } alarm goes of at 62-C [or 143-F } @ 2800 RPM any good ideas???

Normal operating temp

Wouldn't Yanmar be the best source to consult for normal operating temp? It must be published in a downloadable PDF of the engine.

Having said that, I know my Universal 15 runs just fine at about 150, so I can't believe your engine is being threatened by 140-something. I think I read somewhere diesel should run hotter than this anyway. It sounds like your alarm is set wrong.
