More Newport Questions- side windows

Does anyone have information on a source for the rectangular side cabin windows for a Newport 30?...Went up to the boat this weekend and two of the four windows were leaking like a sieve. I think I got one fixed, but the plastic on the other was too brittle to save as it kind of disintegrated when I removed it.
Thanks
Ed

There are companies that can custom make any shape/size portlight frame and lens you might want.. That would be the best solution but not necessarily the most cost effective.

Unlikely you'll find a source of identical replacements anywhere else, though.

You could change to screw/bolt/glue on acrylic ports attached to the outside of the cabinsides, the sealant Dow Corning 795 has proven effective with this type or installation. It would require you to make a trim ring for the inside to look nice, but it also allows you to update the look a bit as you could design a more contemporary portlight shape.

Thanks, that was one of the options I was considering, but I wanted to see what is available otherwise first...it would be chaper to replace the one that fell apart and keep the other three than having to do a total change out...

Mine leaked like crazy as well. I had new ones cut from darker acrylic. Used 3M VHB tape to mount and Dow Corning 795 to seal. I reused the original inside trim ring by mounting it with the VHB tape. Worked great! Definitely gives it a more updated look.

Been thinking about using the 3M VHB tape as well.
Any developments here?

What about seeing the tape or gaps in the sealant through the windows?

Any additional comments would help.
