I randomly happened upon your videos on YouTube this past weekend and really enjoyed them! I found them entertaining, educational, and inspirational, and really appreciate your putting them together and sharing. Looked like a great voyage aboard a great boat with a great captain. I hope to be so lucky someday. Cheers!

Thanks Large Luke,

It's been a lot of fun to make these videos…you might check out the latest posting. A guy named Ben was passing through Oriental not long ago and we had the chance to hang out with him for a bit. Very cool guy who's had some amazing adventures…

Cheers,
Mo

Re: Swan 48 Bella Luna tour and sailing adventure series

Hi everyone,

After sailing offshore for 10 days to get to Tortola, we spent 2 days exploring before sailing on to Saint Martin. We made a little video of our time in Tortola your enjoyment.

As always, we would really appreciate any comments or suggestions for making our videos more interesting, exciting, educational, or better in any way.

Thanks!

Happy sailing,

I liked in this one that you showed a little (very little) trimming and preforming the work of sailing the boat. You asked for suggestions, so I would suggest that you show more of that. Otherwise it looks like the three of you were along for the ride as the boat sailed herself.

Other than that nit, I find that I am REALLY enjoying your videos, and envious of the time that you have for taking trips like this.
Hi Eherlihy, thank you! Your recommendation is now on my list of things to focus on in future episodes. I think it would be great to show more in depth sail trimming and other work on the boat along with explanations of what we're doing. Many thanks!

Monique and I are so happy that you're enjoying our videos. We're hoping to produce a ton more as we sail our own boat from North Carolina to Boston before Winter, and then to Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Iceland, and on to Ireland where we hope to stay for a while. Your feedback on how we can improve on our videos is really appreciated!

Happy sailing,

Drake

Fortunately I was not sick 24 hours a day...ugh, I might have thrown myself overboard had that been the case. *grin* While laying in my berth, and 90% of the time I was in the cockpit, I felt great. It was that time spent traveling from my berth to the head or the cockpit that killed me, as well as the first ten or so minutes after arriving up top.

However, I am extremely hopeful that my next trips will be better. The movement on our Westsail is quite different from that of a Swan (so I've heard), and I will also have more experience.

It will only get better! <--me being optimistic.

cheers!
