Re: Opinions of new Beneteau Oceanis....

The Beneteau are a well put together boat for the price. I have onwed 2 so far nice boats and good sailers. I would buy one over a Hunter I think Beneteau have built a lot of boats. The wood work is better and so is the build.

The problem with browsing is that you'll see something you like, and at a price you're almost able to pay today. And then it will sell, and if you're like me, you'll kick yourself.

Re: Opinions of new Beneteau Oceanis....

Whenever I use a teller machine I try to withdraw a few hundred thousand dollars. Thus far it hasn't worked so I am stuck with my boat....

But if it does...

The two cabin versions of...
The Beneteau 473 1999? To 2008
423 2006? To 2009
The newer 46, from 2008 to 2012
I have seen but not been on the brand new 45, that's the Oceanis, not the sense.

So put them in order of price and I would hit up to what I could afford.

Opinions of new Beneteau Oceanis....

I have always liked the Hunter Deck Salons due to the layout of the boat, the fact that its a deck salon, and the because of a reasonable price for the boats that are 5-8 years old.

I started looking at 41 and 45 ft. Beneteau Oceanis's and was really impressed with the boats space in the cockpit as well as deck salon setting in the cabin.

What is your opinion of the new Oceanis design? How will this boat do as a cruising boat?

My wife and I intend to buy something in the next 5 years (once kids college is paid for) and keep it Charleston. So we are just browing the market right now looking at possibilities.
