Based on my personal observation Joe's Cal 28-2 has an extraordinarily sweet cabin sole, see:

Maybe he can check in...

Re: teak and holy sole

Trewax is a pure carnuba wax that will protect your wood and will not be slippery. Easy to apply and will last a long time.
The beauty of it is you can apply more where it is needed the most.

Ultimate Sole has been out of production for at least three years. Integrated Marine Systems was going to start production under license, but something happened to kill that deal. see this link; Integrated Marine Systems - Ultimate Sole

There is none to be had at any price.

I need it too!

If you are going to do it take te time and do it right. Requires multiple coats starting thinnned and decreassing thinning as you build up layers. Finish with 2 coast of high gloss poly uretheane.

( ulitmate sole was the best)

+1 for Ultimate Sole. Not sure where I will turn next time. GymSeal sounds like a logical choice but ironically that is not available any longer either!

Re: teak and holy sole

A few years ago, the #1 response would have been Ultimate Sole. This was an outstanding product, but unfortunately it is no longer available.

These days, from what I understand, the only thing that's still on the market that comes close to Ultimate Sole is (I think I'm getting this right) GymSeal. Basically it's a finish for hardwood basketball courts. When you think about it, the properties you're looking for are very similar to those desired for a basketball court so it makes sense.
