late 60's Morgan 30?

I have found a late 60's Morgan 30 for sale in Naples. Non- running Atomic 4, good standing rigging, bad running rigging, needs a bottom job. Was formerly a racer, and has two mylar head sails and one Dacron main. Interior is dated and electrical is shot. Price is less than $1000.

Questions I have--

1- Atomic fours are common so parts are readily available and relatively inexpensive?

2- Mylar headsails-- problem, or plus?

3- What would a bottom job run for a Morgan 30?

4- Should I take on this project? Doesn't sound like it would take much to get her into sailing condition, but would be costly to do everything at once. Would be a long term project, but would be a boat I would hang on to for a long time.

One minor plus is that the deck and topsides have never been painted. Minor compared to all of the above, but still good, right??

I live around Tampa Bay, and boat is in Naples, so first order of business would be getting her up here.

Thanks in advance,
