I don't blame you for getting upset OR for wanting to warn us of your experience. the more we have people sharing, the better informed we can all become, and it shouldn't be discouraged. Thanks for your thoughts.

That'd be the one with the same tail fins as the '57 Cadillac, right? :-)

Oh, well, that explains everything. The year of a boat makes a big difference in how it will be treated. The size, apparently is immaterial. Silly me. How's that lyric about who go? For want of a tick mark, a battle was lost? :-)

HS,

The OP was "My boat is a 65 Durbeck flush-deck...", which I took to mean a 1965 hull (after I saw he was talking about crossing Lake O -- no way a 65' sailboat's gonna make that trip.)

Re: River Forest Marina owned by Joe Charels

There are enough inconsistencies (locations, names, rivers that don't run to the sea, boat that's bigger than anything the maker ever built) that whatever whoever did, we sure don't have any reason to take anything here as gospel. There's just too much that doesn't jibe. And if there's that much confusion HERE, lord only knows what might be confused at a marina.

Edit: I didn't read the second page of posts and thought I would offer the information regarding River Forest Yachting Centers 2 locations on the Okeechobee WW.

tspalding This boat has a hundested vr3 cpp unit and it has a "nut" that threads onto the transom plate behind the prop. That nut as come off and has wedge itself between the prop hub and the shaft
