East London? Nope, Kent (the nice part near the south coast, not the crappy part that is basically Greater London). Filth, scum, rozzers, scuffers etc., terms in common usage across the country
Not much respect given to traffic fuzz.

I usually use Lynnwood, because it is the most convenient, and these days is pretty well run. At least there I get a paved surface to work on instead of in the dirt and mud.

Where do you haul Schockt? Wounded Knee? (as they call it on SA).

It's more the cost of a big chunk of city waterfront than supply & demand as well. What must the property taxes be on a few acres of North Shore waterfront?

Yeah, wow thats really steep! You would think the yards in smaller populations would cost less. The further you get from Auckland CBD the less the daily cost. Relation to land value.
Maybe a little Vancouver Island price fixing going on here.... haha, I have no idea on the other side of the planet.
But hey, a few hundred dollars difference isn't going to deter me from wasting more money on sailboats

Here are there rates. They are compairable with all the other yards nearby.
We get hosed on a lot of things on the island.

Compared to Vancouver the daily rate is pretty high. The yard I use charges &25/day. The big cost is the lift: $159 each way.

It's all supply and demand.
