Re: Atomic 4

I agree with captainmurph. Moyer Marine is THE source for atomic four's. I have had two boats with atomic fours and was very satisfied with them. Anytime I had a question I knew I could call Moyer Marine and get all the help I needed. Their are a large number of atomic four's that are still running and plenty of parts for them.

Re: Atomic 4

You'll find lots of sources, but Moyer Marine Atomic 4 Engine Rebuilding and Parts is the location of the best information and parts.

The A4 is a good, solid engine that, if you address the most common maintenance issues, will serve you well.

I have on in my boat and am looking forward to many years of service when I launch this month.

Atomic 4

Hello All,

The sailboat we are about to view again and hopefully purchase is the 1975 Northern 29 c/w atomic 4 (30 hp). I've read the comments on diesel vs. gasoline and I guess a diesel might be the better choice. The boat itself is amazing and so well kept, the present owners have had her for 30 years and because of age and health concerns they want to pass her on.
This is the first of so many boats that my gut tells me its right? The engine has been well maintained and I'm thinking eventually we'll replace it and then it will be diesel.
Can someone please direct me where I could find online a service/maintenance manual for the atomic 4?
