Re: Cooper Bros Martin 29

There were a handful of kits sold but not many AFAIK. I watched a guy finishing the plug into a much modified version - welded up Peterson type keel and so forth.

The boats are old enough now that there have been lots of owner "improvements" made to them. The originals all had 2 rectangular fixed ports aft and 1 forward on each side.

Re: Cooper Bros Martin 29

Thanks sloopJonB.
I have checked out a bunch of photos and these have helped. the one I purchased last summer definitely was finished by the owner, so I am removing some of the poor craftsmanship, but wondering because I have yet to see a Martin 29 with the same window treatment. In addition, mine is rigged with the "tall rig" from a Yamaha 30-1. Kind of interesting, but sails like a dream.

Re: Cooper Bros Martin 29

Most of the 29's were NOT sold as kit boats, they were a production boat by Coopers when Donny Martin was the production manager there. I doubt anyone has drawings of it but there are usually some for sale with pics that might help you.

Cooper Bros Martin 29

Anyone have any drawings on this boat? Martin 29 built by Cooper Bros in Canada.
Most were sold as Kit boats i understand, and while sailboatdata.com has the specs, It would sure be nice to see some drawings or plans for the interior. Anyone point in the right direction?
I also need to size the side pads to support the boat for a transport trailer
