I don't understand how doing everything you do to insure a good set and ADD an alarm wouldn't be all the better.

Re: Boat Monitor R (iPhone/iPad app)

our peace of mind is 160'170 ft chain attached to a bruce anchor set firmly and affixed to boatīs sampson post, accompanied by occasionall sweeps and sights using our eyes. do not trust alarms as you will find they do not actually work in the heat of battle. enjoy your toys. i am able to sleep fine and dandy without the added expense of a false alarm or a no notice when the real thing happens.
happy sails.

roaming is a major beeyotch oput here, as there are not always signals to effect telephone warnings.....

Re: Boat Monitor R (iPhone/iPad app)

I like the FRS radio next to the iPad to transmit the drift warning. I'll try that with DragQueen app. I like the find my iPhone/iPad to track the boat. I guess you could use a Delorme Inreach or other Sat tracker also. A little peace of mind goes a long way.

I just decided to send them an email to find out. I will post, if I get a reply.

Right, not available in the US is the same result I got. I wonder why it was removed. Seems like a great app with great reviews.

Re: Boat Monitor R (iPhone/iPad app)

I just tried it myself. It says its not available in the US Store. I wonder if there is a way to spoof into an international store, whatever that is.

Go get Anchor Watch instead for now.

Re: Boat Monitor R (iPhone/iPad app)

You were clear Minnewaska and thanks again. I did try the link you pointed out but the app is no longer out there for downloading. I also tried just searching for the app at the app store and it is not found. The web site is accessible but the iPhone app is not out there.

Re: Boat Monitor R (iPhone/iPad app)

Sorry for the confusion. Their website has the link to the App Store in the lower right corner. If available to you, it should download to iTunes on your computer and then you would have to synch your device to install it.

Re: Boat Monitor R (iPhone/iPad app)

Thanks for the info. So it is web based and no longer a downloaded app. I signed up on the web site and will try it.
