Re: Quiet Heater Fans

What type of fan do you have, squirrel cage or prop blade? Where are you hearing fan noise from, supply or return? Is the fan free standing or built into the heater or duct work? Is the fan moving too much air? 12V or 120V fan? Pictures?

Quiet Heater Fans

Hello, just installed an Espar Hydronic 10 in my boat that puts out about 32,000 BTU's but had to install heater fans for the setup which I feel are a bit noisey. I purchased them from Heatercraft and believe there's got to be a quieter way then this. I'm thinking Muffin fans in place, something along the line of 42 deciples. Has anyone remedied this experience with a fan that can keep the noise factor at bay they can recommend?
