Rudder replacement

I lost my rudder on my Kirby 25. Just bought it and was out for the fourth time. Can you give me the contact information for the company that is going to make the rudder for you.

Rudder replacement

Thanks for replying. I''ve got a Pearson 26, and I''ve recently arranged for a parts company to manufacture a replacement rudder based on original specs.

Rudder replacement

I am not sure if you own a Pearson 26 or Paceship 26 or Peterson 26 but, in any event, it is posible to design a new rudder that is different in design from the original. If you boat is no longer raced one-design then a properly designed new rudder of a different configuration can work fine. Building a replica of the orginal rudder is the safest course but if there were problems with the old rudder then a adjustments to the old design or a totally new design might make sense.

What precisely are you thinking of doing here?

I have a 1975 P26 that requires a replacement rudder. Must it be of original design, or are there alternatives?
