based on older salts advise, ive used products from "Ameron" (sp?) with great success and a 1/3 the price of typical west marine/boat us/boaters world merchandise. saw the larger yards in San Fran Bay area using the stuff on fishing trawlers and larger sailboats .the huge chemical company has a web page (use google.com to search) so you can get the specs/data sheets. They produce a wide array of commercial chemicals targeted for commercial marine applications. no pretty labels or fancy adds in the mags, just excellent products well below mainstream retail pricing. i used one of their epoxy barrier coat products on my 34'' and would not go back to pettit or interlux (after 30yrs experience w/both)

I used Raka to supply me with Kevlar and epoxy to refinish/stengthen the bottom of our dinghy. Great service, good price. If you want to see the project, click here.

Check www.raka.com. At one time they had very reasonable prices. If you can live with vinyl ester, www.fiberglasssupply has it at a very good price.

A am currently re-furbishing the deck on my CAL 35 and will need lots of epoxy and hardener. Can anyone direct me to a source which might be cheaper than the West Systems epoxy at $66.00 a gallon at Boat/U.S.? Thanks, Bill Kidd
