|sailingdog||Cut the line on a channel marker, and it will definitely move faster than that Bayfield...|

A short review here: Bayfield 25 - Used Sailboat Market in Canada If you hit the 'home' button the site has a lot of info on other boats as well as buying boats and boat ownership.
Not sure if you saw the reviews here: http://www.sailnet.com/boatchk/showp...cat=all&page=1

But it will take a fair bit of breeze to get you to 6 knots. These boats are quite beautiful, from the outside as well as in the cabin below. They are very stable, and well-suited to someone who likes stability and isn't in a hurry. In a light breeze, other boats will move ahead and leave the Bayfield relatively motionless.
But still beautiful boats....

|sailingdog||Hull speed on the Bayfield 25 is a bit less than six knots... 5.94 knots to two significant digits.|

|camaraderie||Theoretical hull speed for your 20 ft. waterline is 6 knots.|

Sailormann, so you have experience with that boat?
Do you know by chance how fast it max. can go?

|Sailormann||Not the fastest boat of its size ... well-built, but it will take you a while to get where you are going...|
