cleaning out water tanks

A 6-inch deck plate in each of my 13-gallon fresh water tanks allows mechanical cleaning with a stiff brush. They are very easy to install and only cost $15 each.

cleaning out water tanks

Hi,

I''ve got a little (10 gallon) plastic tank on my boat, and it has been sitting moist but empty for a while (I just got the boat) when I filled it to check for leaks, and drained it agian, pieces of fungus came out with the water. I know a small amount of bleach is sufficient to steralize a basicly clean tank, but what should one do about a tank thats become a bad science project.

This tank is moulded into the bow of the boat, and I dont think replacing it is an option. Any ideas are apreciated. Thanks.
