Re: Sabre 425 Owners?

Do you take Saber Tooth through the Erie Canal and down the Hudson River or St Lawarence to Champlain then down the Chaplain Canal?
I would be interested in hearing how you step and transport the mast and how it handles with the mast on deck (if that is what you do) in and around the locks.
We are hoping to take our Sabre to Champlain in about 4-5 years for the season.
Right now we are enjoying the Narragansette and are planning short trips out to the Vineyard and Block Island for now.

Re: Sabre 425 Owners?

Hey Tom ... thanks for the reply and great pic of your vessel ... we were in the Bahamas in 2010 - 2011 and had a great time with our 1990 S425 ... we chronicled our travels on our blog (Saber Tooth) ... there you will find some of our pics ... attached find Saber Tooth moored in the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. Currently sailing back in Lake Ontario and plan to travel down south again this fall (September 2012) visiting a few high spots on the way. John

Do you still own your Sabre 425?

Do you still own your Sabre 425?

I just bought one and was wondering if anyone had responded to your post?

With only 29 425's produced there are likely not many of us on this website.

What have you learned about your Sabre?

Sabre 425 Owners?

Hello,
I am new to the site and was wondering if any Sabre425 owners are out there? Just purchased a 1994 425 and wanted some feedback and info.
Thank you,
Hulagirla
