Engine paint

I used Rustoleum on a Volvo diesel. It works fine if you don''t get it on the exhaust system. Make sure you scrape the old paint off and degrease or the paint won''t stick.

Engine paint

Rustoleum will scorch at over 200 deg. surface temp. Suggest that you use high temp engine paint, available from auto parts stores in spray cans ... but will scorch on exhaust manifolds.

Engine paint

Any thoughts about using Rust Olium paint on a Universal engine? The primer says not to use above 200deg F. The finish paint says nothing about temp.

Thanks in advance

Mike in Noank
