Valve clearances for 2GM13

Bought a boat finally got it in the water and on a windy cool somewhat wet day tried to start it. with the throtle half open it finally kicked over spuddered and stopped next time it caught and ran. It really runs rough but after about ten minutes it will idle at 1000 rpm. the motor was reportedly rebuilt 59 hours ago,It seems like a fuel problem, but now I supose I will have to go over the engine to make sure nothing is amiss.Past experience with diesels was they cranked right over and could idle at about 500 rpm when warmed up.I need to find valve lash spec''s and a yamar repair book.
