I waited many years to buy a C&C 27 because there are fewer on the West coast. Found a beautiful MK I in Calif. with many upgrades others don't have. I purchased primarily due to outstanding build quality for the dollar$ spent. I have not been disappointed in this purchase. Yes, they are higher priced than other boats of the same LOA; but you will appreciate their performance on the water.
Fortunately, mine had a good trailer with it for transportation.
Why did you concentrate on the MK. V series? There are many older C&C's around the Great Lakes region near Canada.

Nice looking boats, tend to hold their values in our area, and are generally on the pricey side.

Been to that site. Very informative. Used the check list in fact. Thanks.
I think it would be a good choice for your intended use.

C&C 27 Mark V
I am looking at one of these boats. My first walk through looked good, but before I schedule a haul out, survey and trial sail, I'd like to get some other opinions on these boats: technical, construction, maintenence, sailing experiences. I sail on a large NC lake, so draft is not an issue. Could transport the boat to NC coast in the future. I single hand alot. All opinions welcome.
