Campbell Sailer Prop Problems

Yes. I had the same issues on my Hunter 380. I lost RPM''s which I expected because the prop had a higher pitch, but I didn''t lose any speed and the boat actually seems faster under sail.

My problem went even deeper though. After the first day, I lost about 300 more rpm''s and never got them back. I checked all the obvious stuff and no change. Ended up repitching the prop to gain more rpm on Yanmars advice.. got back rpm, but on day 2 lost 300 rpm again and can''t seem to get them back.

Funny thing is the engine never seems to load up (no black smoke)...

Just curious, what were you using to gauge your speed? And were all the conditions the same before and after? (wind, bottom, current, etc)

Campbell Sailer Prop Problems

This spring I installed a Campbell Sailer 15x9 three blade on my older Tartan 33. That was the spec their computer picked. Now I''ve noticed decreased vibration (good) but lost at least 250 rpms at max throttle and about 1 kt. Anybody else experience this?
