Coreyboy18 Sorry to hear that JR. I hope everything turns out alright for you. Ike was worse for me than Gustav. I went to check on my boat after Ike and the flood gates were closed with water gushing through them...which means the water was at least three feet over the pier. It was scary to be there and not be able to go to my boat...anyway, everything ended up fine for me. Good luck!

sailingdog jrwright-

I'd read your named storm section of your policy very, very carefully, to see if you missed anything that might disqualify you from coverage. Be very, very careful about that.

IKE- Watergate

My boat was floating nicely 'til the water went down. Rudder was on one side of pier and cockpit forward on the other side. Tide went down; now bow underwater and aft(amidships starting behind the keel) in the air because rudder hooked over pier.

Question; reading my Boat US policy, I see boat, equipment, liability etc. Where does salvage to get her off the pier come in?

I am still waiting on Boat US to call back and was reading my policy.

BTW- looks worse since water started receding. Pier 14 around the marina office to the corner is the worst. Most boats appear to have survived.
