Catalina 27

Still trying to find out why the C-27 forum was eliminated, given the volume of boats, age, general ownership and frequency of first boat and the need for help.

The Ranger Wiki

Actually, I added something to the Gary Mull section of the Wiki. We should be supporting the site Jim has set up, so that Ranger owners and potential owners have an alternative to Sailnet.

Forum alternatives

I wondered why I stopped getting email list messages. I hate it when Sailnet does things without telling anyone!

For those that don't know, there's an alternative place for Ranger discussion, a web site I created, that has no advertising and has forums more or less like Sailnet, except exclusively for Rangers. It's free and I expect it will remain free as the hosting has been gratis and the domain fees are trivial. You can post attachments, and there are other areas of the website where you can create personal web pages for your own boat, and a repository for files of general interest. There's even a wiki, although no one has contributed since I added the first few entries. You do have to register to access much of the site, but that's mostly to prevent spammers and bot access.

Ranger-Yachts Home

I have no vested interest other than promoting Ranger oriented discussion. I don't make any money off the site and until my free hosting evaporates, I won't accept donations. I created the site mostly to learn how to use the DotNetNuke web application.
