Some pictures of the struts

Here are some pictures of the struts taken from Sailingtexas.com gallery. I, too, need to know how the forward two struts are secured to the top. Can some one help me, please? Their bottom ends socket into a pair of tubular fittings on the cabin top, but I can't see how they attach to the top. My rotating struts are present, but the forward pair are missing although the cabin top sockets are there.

For whatever reasons, I can't seem to upload to the forum. Please contact me with your email address, and I will be happy to send the pix.

Ulchute Hello Islandmind and WetJerry:

I've got a Venture 25 that I've "pulled from the weeds" since my 12 yr old son has expressed an interest. I've had the boat 15 years and have never even seen a pop top strut. I was going to "wing it" and fabricate some new ones but if someone has details (a sketch, photos, the dimension from the open top to the roof of the boat), it would surely save me some time.

Thanks

25?

I hope you have found a solution by now, but if you have not I have a Mac 25 w/pop top and may be able to give you some info or pics if that would help.

Pop top strut details needed

I am currently restoring a Mac 22 and the previous owner eliminated the pop-top capability. The supporting struts were removed and the top bolted down. I would like to put this back in place (I am over six feet tall and would like the headspace). Is there anyone out there who can give me some specs/ideas on how best to replace these and what is the best locking mechanism to do so? Any feedback along these lines would be appreciated!
