ckgreenman Welcome to Sailnet. Both my wife and I grew up in Riverside. In fact I learned to sail on the lake in Fairmount Park .

Hope you and your wife are able to find your boat soon

jrd22 Hi Ian, welcome to Sailnet. Hope you find a boat and get out on the water. I imagine you will be able to help out on some of the electrical questions here.

Hello from Southern California

Greetings everyone. My name is Ian Adams, I live in Riverside, California but spend most of my time in Newport and Del Mar. I grew up sailing the coast of California, but have never owned a boat before. However, my wife and I have begun searching for one and hopefully within the next few months we will find something. Of course, then we need to find a home for it.
Presently I am working full time as an automotive technician specializing in electrical and driveability diagnostics. I was a radar tech in the Army, am chasing a degree in electronic engineering technology and am hoping to get into marine electrical work in the near future. If you work in the field I'd love to hear from you.
