Hi and thanks for the up date. I am sorry that you had to be inconvenienced. I was just curious as to what happened to the boat after it crashed into the bridge. I don''t know about Karma it was mostly lack of knowledge. The way the boat was anchored was the downfall. Other boats in the river survived and did not break loose. You learn from your mistakes. As far as I know they will not be buying a boat anytine soon. Unless they have changed their minds. Alot of personal items that were irreplaceable was lost photos etc....I believe that we should all try and help each other when possible you never know when you will be needing help. Take care and smooth sailing to ya.

Africana - its fate
Someone asked me abouat Africana..
I talked to my boatyard today..
I was promised that she would be removed by this time next week.
She is a total loss and from what andy implied is dumpster food.
I am sorry for the loss of the boat, but right now ia am sort of pissed. I wanted to finish my bottom paint, and thru hulls and splash two weeks back. I am stuck behind the hulk until then..
paying boatyard fees, hotel fees and my slip rent at the Harborage.
In any case, Andy said the insurance process will be done soon.
I hope her owners can find themselves another boat and did not take too much of a loss on the boat. on the other hand a lot of what happened to them falls under the word called Karma..
what goes around comes around...
