Seafarer Navigation wind instrument

I think that “Seafarer Navigation” (Pool, England) may have been purchased by Standard Horizon:

Seafarer Navigation wind instrument

Hi folks.
First off, Happy New Year!

Secondly, on my recently purchased Ranger 28, I have a wind instrument labelled "Voyager". On the back is "Seafarer Navigation Poole England". I''m hoping that somewhere in the collective wisdom of this group, someone knows the instrument I''m talking about.

There is an eight pin plug coming from the vane on the mast (which I haven''t been up the mast yet to look at) and then a small barrier strip with 4 of the 7 inputs labelled: "Illum", "Earth", "Log. In", "+12V". (Not sure what the "Log. In" refers to though the others are pretty simple to figure out)
Before I start running some power to it, I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge or experience with these. I''ve googled using various combinations of the names, but have come up with nothing.
Any comments or ideas?
