Manual for Keefe winch

Thanks toodleoo,

I saw you had posted this info earlier but I understand Balmar is no longer a resource. My posting was in hopes of a response from JustanoldBN and/or WadeC both of whom mention that they the manual I seek.

toodleoo Balmar (the alternator people) purchased the Keefe windlass business many years ago and still has a very limited supply of parts. I would check with them.

Model B Vertical Stand Windlass

I have a operating manual for this Keefe Windlass. Does anyone know the required chain pitch? I know the chain must be 3/8'' but I can't find the pitch.

Keefe Windlass

Does anyone have a Keefe windlass operating manual. I have Model B with Boston Gear 300 series hollow shaft speed reducers. I need some assistance on how the unit operates.

Well, then you have an easy problem. It's a wiring problem rather than a problem with the winch proper. When you say you "jump it" do you connect it directly to a battery, short across terminals that a button would connect, or what?
