New technologies, new cruising

From Celyne Roy, S/V Akycha (ex)
Many things have happened since selling my Cheoy Lee 48 ketch that was my home for 7 years. I moved back to Montreal (QC) and decided to go back to university. I am in the process of finishing my MBA and instead of a thesis I was granted the opportunity of doing a research project. Because of my love of the cruising life and my every intention of going back to it, I have decided to study the impact of the new technologies on the current cruiser. Have the existing cruisers adapted to the new ITís? Has it made your lives easier or more complicated? Is there a new breed of cruisers that have joined our ranks because of these technologies? I would be very interested in getting your opinions. I have a small survey that can be found at http://www.surveyconsole.com/console/TakeSurvey?id=84046&respondentID=202835

and it would be a privilege for me to have your input. Not only will it help me in my research project and keep me close to my cruising community whom I miss dearly, but I think the results will be interesting for every one and I will make them available to the SSCA once completed. It will be posted for the next 2 months. In the meantime, I thank you for your cooperation and wish you all the fairest winds and the most wonderful cruising experiences.
