damies I bought the plans for the origami 8 from here:
http: // www. woodenwidget. com

I haven't yet built mine, but it looks easy enough, the plans are good value for money, very detailed. (Disclaimer, my only association with this company is as a customer. I will not make any money if you buy their plans)

scottyt well this research will take a while to see what i want. i do like the look of the pointy bow, but i do understand the storage issues.

i also need research material costs, because i can get an used inflatable for 300 to 400 that will do what i need, but i still like the storage of a folder with out deflating and reinflating.

thanks for the links

WanderingStar Pointy boats are better in every way, except being too long to stow.

scottyt i like the flapdoodle. i also like the one i posted as its has a pointy bow, which for some reason looks more boaty to me

Valiente Why not get a used Portabote? I did from a member here at Sailnet and we are quite happy with it and used it last weekend with the 2 HP Honda, having, as my son noted, "four and a half knots of fun" and using about six quarters' worth of gasoline.

scottyt this is the one i found boat plans

i will look in the other posted here, thanks for the links

as for a nesting my wife already has to stand when at the helm because cant see over the cabin, so a nesting one on the deck is out of the question

deniseO30 Ply with glass and epoxy would too heavy. most plywood designs do not need glass. Consider a nesting dinghy like the spindrift instead.
