Our plans are tentative, but we may opt for experienced skipper to sail our Luders 36 Cheoy Lee from Portland ME to Norfolk around Nov 1st. The other option is trucking to Norfolk then sailing to Key West--likely in November as well. (The 3rd option under consideration is trucking directly to KW.) Only documented skippers need respond, with estimated fee. I will crew and all transit expenses, in addition to the skipper's fee, would be my responsibility, of course. Expect to know which option I will follow by mid-September.
The cost will generally depend on the experience, license, and financial need. I charge $350/day for power and because I'm a rag sailor primarily, $300/day for sailboats. Lay days for weather are half rate. Mechanical problems are half rate. I don't smoke, don't drink, am a passable cook, and am told I have a good personality. If you're interested email me and I'll forward a resume.
Same as above. I charge $300 per day plus associated expenses. I am a 200 ton master and offshore sailing coach with the US Naval Academy. Also a veteran engineering officer, USCG. Over 170 New England to Florida deliveries. Google "yachtaide."
