jackytdunaway Messicks 800.222.3373, part #15852-73030 pump & 15841-73432 gasket. good luck

TWMatt I'm having a hard time finding this pump - any chance I could talk you into sharing the name of the tractor place in question or the Kubota part #?

ezatsea I like to give the gasket a little permatex myself, presuming it's an impregnated cardboard-type.

jackytdunaway I got the new pump via UPS today and it looks like the tractor pump is an exact fit. I will know for sure when i try and install it this weekend. Do i just use the new gasket. It looked like the old one had some kind of sealant besides just the gasket

jackytdunaway Update. I found a guy at a tractor parts shop on the internet and he measured the distance of his stock unit and it was 3/8" from the back of the mounting plate to the back of the impeller. I ordered it and since it was stock i can return it if it is not right. 107.00 vs 300.00. Who puts the outrageous mark up on them. Westrabake or the marine parts house???

JimsCAL As long as the Kubota pump will fit, you should be fine. Last time I bought a raw water pump from Westerbeke/Universal it was over $400. So even $300 doesn't sound awful.

deniseO30 Sorry my bad.. hope I don't need one someday I've a 5416
09-21-2009 04:39 PM
jackytdunaway this is for the freshwater pump. not the seawater pump

deniseO30 the pump is an oberdorfer no? $300 is way high if so!
