|04Marine||The post is very late. The boat is an Ingrid 38. If you look at the forepeak hatch that is pretty unique to the Blue Water Boats version and perhaps the Orca 38 version of the ingrid. I have the Bentley version that was laid up in Tiawan and then finished in Southern California. This version has a sloped front to the cabin roof and a raised portion (about 4 inches) at the aft end of the cabin. There is an Ingrid Owners Association on Yahoo.|

Blue Water Boats Inc was located in Woodinville, Washington until bought out in 1979 by Nordic Yachts. From their history: "Blue Water Boats Inc. built a double-ended ocean ketch, of the "Ingrid" design. Its design came from the many beautiful double-ended sailboats in Norway in the nineteenth century. The designer of most of these was Colin Archer, a Norwegian with a Scottish name. The "Ingrid 38" plan was actually modernized in 1934 by William Atkin, and published in Popular Mechanics Magazine for the benefit of boat builders everywhere."
So lets here for the eagle eyes who identified her correctly as either an Archer or Atkins!!!

KING YUNE HOU is in Nan-Liou Harbour, HsinChu, Taiwan since last summer. I had visited the boat once but the boat owner wasn't there, of course. Currently, we don't have much ketch here in Taiwan. That's why I raised my question here.

|tdw||Coach roof doesn't quite work for either the Atkins or the Alejuela but the similarity is very close nonetheless. Here's a link to some info on the Alejuela. http://www.js-boatcharter.dk/alajuela/haleluja.htm Of course the coachroof and cockpit combing could well have been modified. The only Bluewater Boats I could find (well google could find at least) are makers of aluminium fishing boats in the US and a mob making canal barges in the UK.|
