St Anna Gooday SrSeaBass,
Dec is the start of cyclone season. I would refer you to xtides and noonsite for local specific info. Will be hot and humid and you would get 3-4 days notice of an impending cyclone.

SrSeabass Any perspectives on tides and currents around Fiji?

denverd0n Visited Fiji at that time of year some years back. Rained most of the week we were there. Still better weather than at home (we lived in Iowa at the time).

SrSeabass I have reviewed the charts for the area around Bora Bora but would still love someones first hand perspective...

chris_gee I hope you are not navigating. I presume you mean Bora Bora in French Polynesia. It will be early in the hurricane season. Check the pilot charts for the chances. Probably relatively small.

tager Great idea. At any price it is sure to be a bargain... Renting a boat is surely not a false economy. With the given that one needs to go boating!

Smart or waste of money?

Considering a 5 day charter in late Dec to S Pacific, specifically: -16.500413,-151.74149

Any thoughts on weather considerations/expectations???
