No it does trap some as I have lots of chain up in the bow. Once sailing or motoring though it comes right out. In the winter I just adjust her to self drain if any rain should get under the cover..

Are you saying your boat does NOT trap water in the slides when in the water? Is my boat bow heavy?

It happens to mine when on the hard until I adjust the boat stands so that it drains. Perhaps you could remove the anchor chain and move it aft for the winter. It does not take much to pitch the hatch tracks towards the stern so they will drain...

Hatch cover CS36T
We do get some freezing temperatures here in north Texas. My boat is on Lake Texoma. Last week end after some rain and freezing temps, the hatch cover was frozen shut, would not slide forward to open. The problem is that water settles in the tracks forward and freezes. There is no drain for the water forward of the companion way. Is this a problem on other CS 36T? Mine is 1982 model. Thanks for any help.
