Newport 27 rudder bearing

I am looking for help and advice to repair or replace the rudder bearing on my newport 27 (1979). Information seems to be hard to come by on the internet. The rudder stock has currently about 2-3mm play in the cockpit bearing, which is interfering with the tiller pilot. Considering that the epoxy dome around the bearing is somewhat cracked I can only assume that this will get worse.

I should have the skills to replace it myself and do the necessary epoxy work. What I gathered so far is that the epoxy with the bearing needs to be cut out and rebuild.

So here are my questions:
- Any general recommendations or links to websites that could help (w/ photos)?
- What is the best place to buy bearings for a Newport
- Is there another bearing at the hull that would also need to be replaced?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
